Maine RTP Grant
The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is an assistance program of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The RTP provides funds to the States to develop and maintain recreational trails and trail-related facilities for motorized and nonmotorized recreational trail uses.
Eligible projects may include:
Maintenance and restoration of existing recreational trails.
Development and rehabilitation of trail side and trailhead facilities and trail linkages for recreational trails.
Construction of new recreational trails.
Acquisition of easements or fee simple title to property for recreational trails or recreational trail corridors.
Polaris T.R.A.I.L.S Grant

Yamaha Grant

Maine Land Protection Grant
Unlock up to $50,000 of funding for land easments for trails or even land purchase. Aplication opens in June and typically closes in September. Click the link below to their website.
Tread Lightly

USDA Rural Development
There are 2 grants available from the USDA. These grants specifically focus on rural development of trails and business. These grants allows you to purchase equipment and complete large scale projects. The information and application can be found by clicking below.
